Saw the moon as I was walking in this evening and decided I had to take a pic.  This is my 300mm lens at full extension, manually focused, and some secret "moon" settings for clarity.  I didn't believe people until I saw it on my camera screen but the moon FLYS across the sky - really fast!!  Without further ado, I give you, the moon.

Way behind on this blog as I've been trying to put my efforts on photo challenges online, but I'm still attempting to keep it going.

This was blurrier than I wanted, but I could not resist snapping a pic of this RED HOT burning car on route 3 last week on my drive home from work.  The asphalt is melted and you can still see where this happened a week later!!  Rolled down my window to get this show in the car while driving by and you could literally feel the heat 4 lanes away from it - amazing.  Reports say everyone involved was OK.
